Yesterday, on a cold night (<32degrees), we started the van and had a popping sound immediately and the engine began misfiring. We found 1 of 4 spark plug wires disconnected from the engine block. We turned off the car and reconnected the wire. When we tried to start the engine again, same things occurs (popping sound and same spark plug wire is found to be disconnected from engine block

Are you sure you got the plug wires on the correct spark plugs? IF you mixed them up, it will miss.

We had not moved any of them, we just put back the one wire that keeps popping off. How do you know which wire belongs where? Thank you for your reply

When the wire comes off does the spark plug come with it? Next time you put it on make sure that it is on all the way they kinda make a click. Also maybe one of you could watch the one that comes off while the other starts it to see if something is catching the wire or if its just popping off
