My van wont start

Hi I am james I have a 1987 astro van wene I try to start it it wont start I have to spray starting fluid in the curberater for it to start but wene it start it I can drive it nonstop until stop I have to spray again. Email is. Shawjames6125@yahoo. Com. Thanks.

Use a gage and check fuel pressure, key on engine off. How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes?

When you turn the key on, can you hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds?

With engine cranking, the systems get around 9 or 10 volts, battery voltage. With engine running, alternator voltage, 13 1/2 volts or better.

I have a 97 Astro Van with exactly the same problem. Use starting fluid and it fire up and runs fine, restarts fine all day until the next day then won't start.

Use a gage and check fuel pressure, ransum. Do you have the spider fuel system, they are known for problems.
