When I first start driving the car won't shift into third or fouth I'm not sure what gear it's in when I take off but I drive for awhile mAybe2 3 miles and then it shifts perfect then when I get to my destination and turn the car off for a while like 1/2 hour or more an get back in to drive it shifts fine it seem if it sits over night or along time it has a problem when it first starts off I've warmed the car up and it seems that it still doesn't shift right until I drive a coupe of miles down the road

Problem indicates a possible fault with the valve body. They are sticking and working erraticvally. A fluid change might help but if it does not, you need to get the valve body serviced.
