1986 Chevrolet Truck crank relpacement

Can I replace a 2 piece rear main crankshaft with a 1 piece rear main seal crankshaft on a 1969 Chevy 350 4 bolt main block do I need a adapter or will it work it fits on the motor and everything lines up the rear journal matches up

Nope it would get thrown out, you need an adapter for it.

You'll have to see if someone makes on aftermarket wise if you have a rope seal in it can be converted to a two piece rubber seal and it will go right in where the rope seal does. But the one piece seals have their own adapter to hold them in which was done in all 86 models along with high rail heads to stop the valve cover leaks. The two piece rubber seals are ok to use in that engine with no problems.
