Suburban cat converter exploded!

My 85 Suburban has had trouble starting recently and backfiring. Yesterday mt Catalytic Converter exploded. Literally. Help!

I've seen them do that before, sounds like a shotgun went off, You could hear it for blocks. Split down the side. It may have just been clogged? Isn't clogged anymore, is it. Replace.
