Cant turn crank by hand

Bought a 1973 350sbc and cant turn crank by hand. Its been dry for awhile and I havent put any oil in. Any help? Engine has been dry since rebuild and didnt know if I should put oil in and then try to turn crank manually

You should have oiled the bearings when you installed them. As far as now, if it is still dry, you may damage the bearings before oil gets to them. You should pump the oil pressure through the engine before trying to start it. You will need to access the pump which I believe is run by the distributor on this vehicle. Using a drill, spin the oil pump so that it sends oil throughout the engine.
