1985 Cadillac Fleetwood derby car stall problem

Im having a problem with my 85 cadillac fleetwood 4.1 liter its a derby car and having a problem with everytime it gets hit it wants to stall or it will put for a sec or so then try to give it gas and then it will stall out dont know what could cause this any answers or ideas would be greatley appreciated

I have to be honest, we only work with OEM style repairs. In this case, when the car is hit, anything could be shorting, wiring issues, fuel related issues. I have no idea what types of modifications have been done.

Fuel pump was removed from original tank and put into a boat tank and the battery was moved to inside the car with running wires extentions to reach inside the passenger side floor
