1980 Licoln Continetnal Mark VI 351 engine - gas gauge started acting up, put 40 bucks in the tank and the next day on the way home from work, the needle dropped to empty. When I started the car later that day it read a little over a quarter of a tank. Should be more than that, I have a 13 gallon tank. What might be the problem, and how can I diagnose/fix it?
