1978 Oldsmobile Delta 88 problems

Alright well my car was running a little shaky missing when I was driving it, and usually when I drove it after the engine got hot it would hesitate and "jump" if I gave it gas. Then, yesterday as I was driving down the road it seemed like it was missing a little more than usual, but then it just shut off. I pulled it into a lot and tried starting it a few hours later after I returned with a friend and it wanted to turn over but didn't seem like it had the power to do so. I checked the battery and its good. I just don't know why it would've stopped running like that going down the road and whatever that problem is, probably has something to do with why its hard to get started now. (The car will not run as of right now)Any suggestions? By the way this car has about 60,000 miles on it.
