Okay I have a 1970 Chevy Nova and my belts are squealing and the don't seem worn or to have any liquids on them. They have been tightened before in December and it stopped the problem but have started back up again. What is making my belts squeal?

The belts are glazed, old belts can squeal even if they are adjusted and not slipping. I use a spray belt dressing, it's application stops the noise immediately. I have also seen guys hold a file to the working face of the belt to stop the noise, but ilike the spray, it works much faster. Or you could install new belts.
