Took down gas tank on my 1956 Ford Fairlane.

Took down gas tank on my 1956 ford fairlane victoria 3 years ago (tank was full of particles) /now I don't remember exactly how the fuel sending unit rotation goes back into the tank or wiring goes(your car year didn't go back far enough) if you don't know that's okay. I should have taken a picture but.

He float should go towards the center of the tank and the wiring ma on ly have one wire leading to it which should have a nut holding it on. It may just push on as well. If there are two wires the black wire will be ground which cold just go on one fo the screws holding the unit in.
