The car listed above is an SS model. I had no crank no start after warming up. I had replaced the internal mode switch. I think it fixed the no start issue but now I got no reverse. I have all the other gears. But reverse. It's my daughter's car and Shes in college, so I tried to save her money and it backfired on me. Hope you can help. I would also like to and that my concern is that I didn't get the reverse band back together right.

Hi,

Since park works and neutral works, reverse is in the middle, so unless the switch is faulty, you should have reverse.

As far as the reverse band, it is straight forward. The only thing I can think may be an issue is if you didn't get the band properly attached to the anchor pin in the case. Do you remember anchoring it? You would have had to tilt the band for it to attach. (See pic below)

Let me know.

Joe

Well, you're right. I found a manual with trouble shooting and I found the not attached. Works great thank God and thank you for getting back with me.

Hi,

You are very welcome. I'm glad to know it's working for you. It's a simple and easy mistake to make.

Regardless, take care of yourself, and feel free to come back anytime in the future.
