My injectors were dumping fuel and washed out my cylinders, so replaced PCM and engine. Now my speedometer does not work, my overdrive light blinks and my odometer has dashes. I replaced my speed sensors on the transmission and on the rear end. Problem still there. Checked to see if I have any power with test light and it did not light up. I check all the grounds for the wiring and every ground on truck is good. I checked for broken wires and everything is good. I am at a loss for what is going on so anything will help.

The problem can be the sensing part of the VSS has fallen off. Can you remove the sensor and look inside where the sensor goes to see if you can tell what the sensor is supposed to be sensing?

Here is a wiring diagram and a guide so you can double check your work:

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Everything looked good and I have the diagrams you sent. I was curious if it could be the ABS speed sensors on the front wheel bearings? I have not replaced those. I also noticed if I hold down the brake pedal at a stop and turn my steering wheel I can feel the brake pedal pulse up and down and the pedal is already stiff. Could that possibly be my issue?

Sorry, the ABS wheel speed sensors should not affect the VSS sensor but I would replace it anyway.

Here is s guide that give you an idea of what you are in for when doing the job.

Here is what it will be like for your car.

Check out the diagrams (Below)

Answering come from testing and replacing the obvious. Here are some wiring diagrams and guides to check for voltage reference to the speedometer and VSS circuit.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-voltmeter

and

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-wiring

Check for reference voltage and grounds. If everything checks out then the ECU must be bad.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you.
