Rough idle and seemed to have no gas power at first with slight noise. Did not quite sound like valve clacking. More like a fan blade or something was hitting something. To me at least. Noticed small slit in plugwire so changed all four. Ran smooth couple of days. Then sense of no power. Same noise but louder with rattle. Car dies in the road and coasted out of traffic. Tried to start. Nothing. Battery had juice because door dings and lights. Few days later tried to start and got click when turned over but only one time. Did timing jump, motor burn up, blow head gasket? Please help

Check battery for condition including load test first, most places do for free. Then scan for codes question is kind of vague regarding click due to engine not running.

Hi Kelly,

If you decide to complete the testing yourself here is a link to an article form this site that features written instructions, pictures and a video explaining how to load test your battery yourself. I have also included a link to another article form this site that features written instructions and pictures explaining how to scan for codes yourself, and a link to our YouTube channel with a how to video on code scanning. Most scanners are inexpensive to purchase, you can purchase one online from sites like Amazon.com.
