1999 Toyota Camry engine

Irecently had both the battery and alternator replaced. The engine lite still comes on and off. Today I tried to start it and it did not start. Tried it again and everything was fine. What can be going on?

When it did not start did you have dash lights?

I just went out and tried to start it. It did not start but all the dash board lights came on and the radio. I tapped the battery and tried again this time it started. Also, the yellow dash board lights for going in reverse and th engine light come on sometimes after I start the car. This does not happen every time.

HI there,

you may have a bad conection at the battery terminals, I would take off the terminals and give them a good clean, you can get a cheap battery terminal post cleaner (small wire brush) from most parts shops, make sure that the terminals are not corroded internally, clean with warm water and bi-carb soda, this will kill all the acid corrosion, wash well with clean water and re fit the terminals, coat with grease or battery terminal spray, this hould fix you problem.
