2000 Volkswagen Beetle OBD 2 fault code

In my workshop we have found a lot of the time that the converter is faulty, it is common to see this problem. What we find is the down stream o2 sensor is also a concern, replace the converter, yes they are very costly from the dealer, I find good quality after market work fine, I would also replace both o2 sensors, as these do fail as well and have a limited life span, then get the fault codes cleared from the ECU.
