1997 Vauxhall Vectra slight rough tug of car when clutch is

1997 Vauxhall Vectra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 107452 miles
hi guys, ive a 97 vectra 1.8 petrol, i was wondering, as it has a tugging take off in 1st and 2nd gear is there a fault in the air intake, its not exactly light on petrol either, any suggestions or tips on how to would be a great advantage. thanks
