It me again. The is thing this vehicle as 2 cam senor but the hesitate that it can get over 2,000 rpm's for a day an a half. But today I got off the wire off the senor wire of the back cam now the getting power. And was thinking it maybe the catalytic converter. Can you tell me what you think is going on?
Thanks

Hi Troy,

As far as the cam sensors, there are two. Each cylinder bank has one. See the attached pic.

A catalytic converter can cause a loss of power and limit the engine. Take a look through this link:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/bad-catalytic-converter-symptoms

If you think the converter could be plugged, remove the O2 sensor before the converter. It wont be perfect, but the added exit will indicate if there is a problem with too much back pressure.

Also, have you checked for diagnostic trouble codes? This guide can help find the codes for you:

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is. Let me know.
