Car has lost power and has strange sound when I accelerate. Car is also running rough when idling. When I accelerate, I hear a hollow sound and it seem as if the car does not have maximum power. The car also seem to be in need of alignment because the tires are wearing abnormally.

Hello,

It sounds like an issue with the CVT transmission.
The howling you hear is the transmission, it can be due to worn out components.
That noise can also be due to low or dirty transmission fluid.
Check the fluid make sure it is at a correct level and in good condition.

If the fluid level and condition checks out then the issue is likely internal.
It could be a worn out CVT belt inside the transmission or faulty pump.
This will require rebuilt or replacement of the transmission.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
