My car has a 3.1 engine and a 4t60 transmission. When I start and drive it would go normal, but a few minutes (three minutes) at 60 mph it would kick out of gear and rev as if it were in neutral. When the speed drops to 25 mph, the gear picks up again and can drive 25 or 30 mph all over, but when I go over that 30 mph it kicks out of gear again until I drop below 30 again. What would cause this?

Has the check engine light turned on? Is the fluid clean and full?

I would drop the pan and check the filter to make sure the seal from the filter to the case is in tact, It sounds like you might be sucking in air or the filter is plugged.

Here is a guide that will help

Let me know what you find
