When I start my car my traction light comes on and stays on, then my power steering gets hard to turn. What causes this could it be a sensor are fuse?

Check fuses under hood then have it scanned for codes by a mechanic. It may be an ABS problem which automatically knocks out cruise, and traction control.

I forgot to answer that, If this has electronic steering which if a four cylinder I would call dealer there is a campaign to fix this. It will be done for free there is a module and shaft problem.

It is not a recall it is a campaign which is different. What engine do you have and is this have electronic steering? If you look on bottom of column you might see a box there. If you do tell them to look up campaign number 15356 if not a mechanic will have to scan for codes to see if it is a sensor on power steering. You can also call Chevrolet at their 800 number to inquire and give them your VIN number.
