After getting my car out of the snow my sterring wheel was stuck and is REALLY hard to turn. Please help!

Was stuck in snow for half hour, once I got out my steering wheel became REALLY REALLY hard to turn. The steering was fine when I wasn't stuck.

Check for fluid loss in the power steering system and that the drive belt is ok for the pump.
