Sorry I took so long to reply ..the new #2 is the old #4 ..ha ha ..so now If we ground the new #2 to the red/yelllow at the H/L switch everything works .. the fault is possibly the intergration relay... do you think you can find it !! and tell me what wires you can see going to it .. there should be your original red/black coming from the #2 .. if so we could loop around the INT relay direct to the red/yellow wire !! your thouhgt's on this ??

Hey Mike..

OK ..I'm thinking if you can find the red/black that goes into the INT relay and jumper it from the relay side (before INT relay)to the red/yellow on switch (bypass the INT relay) ..the light's should work without a big rewiring jobbie .. let me know !

I have to pop out for an hour ... I will be back ..LOL ..

Speak soon

I took the relay out and it had 1 plug with 4 wires in it . The colors of the wires are , red/yellow , red/black , green/red , green.I'm sending a picture. There's also a long white connecter with 10 posts that connects with a wire bundle behind the relay and I couldn' get a look at the back where they go in. There are some #'s on the front of the relay and they are-- 82641-06010 ,

Went back and hooked red/yellow on switch to the red/black on the integration relay and the switch worked turning on Hi, Lo beams and flash worked, and on off, but no tailights and also still no parking lights. Could it be this relay? If so, Can this rely be checked?

I have looked at the wiring diagram for the exterior light's. The tail lights go through the intergration relay. A green wire(on my diagram?) From H/L switch to intergration relay then a green/red wire from INT relay to TAIL light RELAY. The tail light relay also controls front side light's. So your problem could be this relay. As for it being checked, I don't know. I have never come across one of these INT relays before. And never want to AGAIN. LOL. Just ot be on the safe side check the fuse's for side and tail light's?

I'M BAAAAAAACK. OK. We, Dave and I, are going to solve this problem to everyone's satisfaction. BUT, there are a few conditions.
Mike, and I don't mean to be rude, but you have a habbit of answering a question-with a question, and it just keeps us going around in circles. All I ask of you, is to answer what I ask and through the process of elimination we, together, will pinpoint the problem. If you're OK with this, lets get started.
1- is your battery getting low from all the testing? If yes, start the car and let it idle for a while or put a charger on it.
2- remove any jumpers you have installed.
3- Put all the connector/wires back together as original With the EXCEPTION of the headlight relay, leave that out.
4- With the battery known to be fully charged, check the voltage at HL relay terms. 1 & 3. You should have 12 volts. YES? If no, get back to us right away and we'll have to solve that problem before we can go to #5.
We'll get it, but one step at a time. Please advise.

I'm ok with everthing you say and when I checked 1 & 3 they each had 12 volts
GOOD, now we're moving. I'll stay with this all night if I have to.
5- With your OHM meter, check terms 3 & 4 on the relay for continuity to make sure the coil is good. If they're not numbered on the relay, it's the pins that the little wires for the coil attach. If YES. Go to six. If NO, you need another relay.
6- Re-install the relay.
7- Ground term #4 on the relay block. When #4 is grounded, the relay should close and high/low headlights and flash should work. YES?
8-If answer to 7 is yes, remove the ground on #4 relay term and run a wire from relay term #4 on the relay block(the same one you just grounded) to term #13, (red/blk wire) on the headlight switch. With this wire in place, the headlight functions should all work normally. We're just talking headlights here, nothing else. Headlights WORK, YES?
Let us know.

Relay good, installed relay grounded #4 no lights.
Mike, are you using the wiring diagram I or Dave sent you? If we're not on the same page, this isn't going to work.

Mike .. has the #2 terminal as our #4 and the #4 terminal as the #2 !!

Anyway .. mike .. you have 12 volts at #1and #3 ...irrespective of which way round they are numbered !!!

mikes #4 is going directly to light bulbs

now mikes #2 the red and black wire from mikes #2 needs to be taken out of the INT relay .. and spliced/jumped to the RED/YELLOW ( we don't want the red/black wire going into the INT relay) we want it going straight to the H/L switch RED/YELLOW wire ... and then we need the INT relay wiring connector plugging back into the INT relay to let side light's and tail light's to work again !!!

We have already had them working this way !!! just the side light's were not working .. because the INT relay connectors were unplugged from the INT relay !!

Am I right or wrong Mike ??

The only thing is I didn't install the plug back into the integration relay after I jumped the wires, and I disd have a jumper on 1 & 3.

The way you drew isn't the way I had it set up I had a jumper between 1 & 3 because when I installed the relay the voltage dropped on #1 to 8 volts. Without the jumper the lights wouldn't work. And I didn't need a ground on #4 because it is already grounded

OK, I went back and did some rereading.
In step 2, I asked you to remove all the jumpers and re-connect all connectors back to original. Now you tell me you still have the int. Relay bypassed. WHY?
Also, we're going to go by the numbers on the factory schematic. No jumping #s around.
I'm willing to help you with this, but we're going to do it MY way. If you have a problem with this, let me know. I have a lot of post that need my attention.
Please advise.
