Hi there,

the type of oil will not cause your problem, start by having the fault codes check, see if there are any set, the light will no always come no when a code is set. Also check the tune of the engine, when was it lastdone, things like a blocked fuel filter may be your problem.

Start there

The fuel filter was done along with the plugs and leads but when it stoped running it turned over with little or no compression thats what lead us to belive it had broken a cambelt but when the covers were removed the cam turned over, could it have hydralic lifters? Could they have pumped up?
