1989 Toyota Camry Car Radiator Busted Drove Got Hot Died Out Wont Start Again

Car radiator busted. we drove it and it got hot it died out and wont start again. when wew crank it it has a wierd winding noise like there is no compression. No water in oil timing chain doesnt look like it has jumped. what could cause this and is there an automatic shut off.

take a compression reading. overheat could have caused rings to collapse losing compression. never run on overheat if possible.some cars survive it better than others.

no automatic shut off.
have the timing belt checked. have the cylinders keak down tested for bad head gasket from overheating.

whatever is wrong, the overheat must be found. the cause is still out there. these issues are a result of the overheating not the cuase.
