1994 Toyota Camry Repair Question

Water pump shaft broke. Replaced it and the timing belt, but now it won't start.

The engine turns over but doesn't start. It is getting fuel. I also get a spark to my spark plugs. It is a 4cyl LE

Did it jump time when the water pump failed?

maybe, the car just died when the water pump went.

The timing marks line up, but I don't have the tools to compression check it. Is there a senser or something that would need to be replaced or reset.

Auto zone rents compression testers again i would check the compression of all the cylinders.
