The car fan is not chipping in and when every time I drive the car down the road to test it, the temperature gauge goes up and then the engine accelerates hard off its own. As a result when I press the gas pedal it doesn't accelerate/rev whenever time it gets hot. Can the fan not working or not chipping in cause this behavior to happen?

Hello,

Lets start by checking the fuses # 25 and 13. here is a guide to help us get started and the cooling fan wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works with the fuse locations as well below:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Hello.

yes, excessive overheated engine can cause many problems,
First check coolant level if its low perform pressure test and detect the leak

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/car-is-leaking-coolant

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/radiator-pressure-test

-check coolant fan fuse which is located inside engine compartment behind front right headlight fuse number 13 and number 25(check diagram 1 and 2).
-if the new fuse blow again then coolant fan defected or short circuit at fan wiring.
- cooling fan module which is located behind the radiator or engine control unit located right rear of engine compartment can be the problems also.to detect the problem wiring must be checked first.(check diagram 3 and 4)
-remove connector of the coolant fan by using outside 12v supply voltage check if the fan is working.
-check continuity of the fan wires between fan and fan control unit,by using OHM meter.
-check continuity between engine control unit pin 51 white/blue and fan control module.
-check supply voltage of fan control unit wire black and brown/green also black and white/green 12v must be displayed on voltmeter.
-if all checks are ok then the problem is from fan control unit or from engine control unit not sending signal.
