My left tail light stopped working out of the blue, so I assumed it was a bulb. I bought new bulbs and installed them. Wasn’t the bulb. So I read that it could be a fuse, replaced the fuse and it’s still not working. The left rear end of my car is damaged from an accident. Everything on the right side works fine. I’m not sure what to attempt next. Any help would be appreciated! I would also like to add that the blinker and brake light both work on the left side. It’s just the tail light not working.

Hi,

Was the taillight damaged in the accident? Could you upload a pic for me to see? Also, I need you to check fuse 8 in the underhood fuse box. In addition to checking the fuse, confirm there is power to it. Here is a link you may find helpful:

Since the other lights are working, it can't be a ground simply because they all have a common grounding location. So, if the fuse is good and there is power to and from it, I need you to check the white wire with a brown tracer at the light assembly. It should have 12v when the lights are on.

If there is power, then the socket itself may be bad. That's to be determined once I know the above info.

I attached a few pics below from the wiring schematics. Pics 1 and 2 show the wiring and pic 3 shows the fuse location.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
