Squeaking noise when I brake hard

The vehicle is relatively new. I got it a month ago from a dealership, where they sent it through maintenance and gave the thumbs up and it has about 45,000 miles on it. When I press the brakes lightly I do not hear anything but when I apply more pressure that is when I hear the squeaking. I am not sure what it could be other than glaze or wear and tear but wear and tear does not really make sense to me because like I said they went through and checked everything before they sent me away with the car.

If you hear squeaking just while driving it may be an indicator that the brake pads are worn. You could also have one of the dust shields rubbing against rotor or a shield rubbing against something under the car so check those out.

Do you know how much any of those options could cost to fix?

No, prices vary by location as well as where you go. Dealers are more expensive normally.
