When I purchase a vehicle about 4 months ago I realized there was an oil leak and also I had problems with the ignition, which I put my key in it would turn and I could take it right back out riding down the road. The lights on the dashboard will come in and out the music would change on and off. So, something was wrong with my sensors. I take it about 2 days ago I went into my car and I heard a ticking noise below the dashboard I did not put any key in the ignition or anything like that as soon as I opened the door I could hear it. The next morning whenever I went to go crank my car up my key would turn all the way over, but it was not click it won't make any noise and no lights will come on. I tried to jump start my car but only for about 5 to 10 minutes off and nothing would give me any power to my car so it turns all the way over no click no lights no nothing it just turns over if you could please help me or tell me which way I should go first with whatever I need to do it be the biggest help I've ever a single mother of two kids so I cannot go without a car thank you so much for your time and reading this hope to hear back from you soon.

Hi,

The clicking under the dash sounds like it may have been an actuator for the HVAC system.

As far as now, does anything electrical work? For example, do the brake lights or horn work?

If nothing works, confirm the battery terminals are clean, tight, and free of corrosion. If that is good, I need you to remove the battery, take it to a parts store, and have them load-test it. Here is a link that explains how to remove and reinstall it.

Let me know what you find. One other thought. There is a generator fuse in the under-hood fuse box. It is a 100 amp fuse that powers all the other fuses. Make sure it hasn't failed.

Follow this link to check:

Take care and I'll watch for your reply.
