Rough Idle & No Power

Truck starts right-up, but rough idle. Idle is set above 1,000 to keep running. I shift (Automatic) manually to get up to speed.

Has No power until 15 MPH, then finally kicks-in quickly as I then shift to 2nd, then to 3rd (D) & runs great up to freeway speed.

No "Check Engine" lights are on.

First I would start with a compression test. Then check plugs, wires/coil. Make sure there is no vacuum leaks.

Thank you Roy. I neglected to mention that their is a real quick ping upon take-off only - if that would mean "Timing" perhaps?
