1998 Pontiac Sunfire fan issues

I have a 98 sunfire, 2.2 liter. My fan will not come on. Here are the things I have replaced. Water pump. Thermosat. Temperature senor. Cooling sensor. Coolong fan fuse. I have striaght wired the fan to see if it would come on and it does. I have unplugged the temp sensor and turned the switch on to see if it will come on and it does not. Please help I dont know what else to try

Have you checked the cooling fan relay? It is in the engine compartment fuse / relay center.

If all of those components were replaced and fan still does not operate properly then it is either due to faulty wiring or the PCM, most likely the PCM.

I had the same problem with mine and I replaced all of that to and I had to resort to wiring a toggle switch on the fan so I could turn it on when I wanted to, I usually turn it on anytime the car is running and mine stays cool now. If you want to try this on yours and need to know how to wire it up just let me know and I will tell you how. Good luck.
