Engine Performance problem
1998 Pontiac Grand Am Two Wheel Drive Automatic 125000 miles

Had the fuel pump in the gas tank replaced. The person that did it said that it still will not start because the anti-theft device is shutting the fuel pump off when it tries to start. Is there a way to reset the anti-theft device so we can start the car?

Hello, the theft system disables the injectors not the fuel pump, I believe. After trying to start, if the theft lite is flashing, leave the key on, wait for the lite to stop flashing, it may take about 10 minutes. If it stops flashing, turn the key off, then try to start. Maybe a problem with the passlock sensor? Any codes?
