My front passenger window was stuck so I replaced the motor and actuator and the window goes down fine and coming back up, about three inches from the top it struggles and just stops without closing all the way.

Hello again.

Try spraying some lube in the track the window rides on at the window. It may need to be lubed to allow it to come all the way up.

Does the window tilt when coming up?

Did you replace it with new or used parts? Does it go up more if you wait several minutes and try again? If used, it is possible that the motor is bad. It is getting overheated and stopping. When it cools down, it can go more.

If that is not it, then it is possible that the track got a little bent when you took the window out. To find out, take the motor out and try pushing the window up and down manually. If it binds up in the same spot when going up, then the problem is in the track. If not, then it is in the motor.
