Electrical problem
2004 Chevy Avalanche 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

1. How do I remove the drivers door panel to get at the power window switches?

2. How do I troubleshoot to determine if window switches, relays or window motor is faulty?

3. How difficult are these items to replace or will I need to have a professional repair?

Thanks in advance for your prompt response and any assistance you are able to render.

My question for you would be, did it make a grinding noise before stopping? These vehicles are pretty common to have a failed window regulator. The door panel has 2 or 3 7mm screws that have to be removed, remove handle bezel, light bezel, lift up the door panel and tip it out. The switch should have access from the bottom. Easiest test is make sure the wiring is still connected at the switch and test at the motor for power and ground. If you feel this is too involved, definitely take it to someone you feel is qualified to check it out.
