2001 Oldsmobile Alero my car wont start

2001 Oldsmobile Alero 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 166xxx miles

i have recently bought a 2001 olds alero 2.4 been about 2 1/2 months know it wont start, changed the plugs fires right up, good for 1 week, know wont start again. Was told to change key ignition. I did that got whole unit (tumbler, sensor, ext.) Still wont start. Spayed starting fluid(it starts then dies) so befor I go spend a bunch of money on a fuel pump, was wondering if there was a possible solution that is cheaper that I should try first. Please let me know this is my main means of transportation. Thanks

Well since it started for a second with the starter fluid, obviously we have a fuel problem. Check the fuel pressure sensor and fuel pump relay
