After having the oil change the RPM's climb off the gauge and there is white smoke

Recently had oil change at local garage, now when driven past 3,000 rpm's the revs climb off the gauge and plumes of white smoke.

Good morning,

You will need to have the cooling system tested. White smoke is burning coolant and it could be a possible head gasket leaking issue.

This has no connection to the oil change.
