I would first try what I first said and see if you have power to both sides of the fuel pump fuse while cranking if you do the relay is working. Where did you see the melted terminal at?

I cranked the car up. Drove it from my carport out into my yard. A few minutes later I got in in, attempted to start it up. All it would do is crank over, but would not start up.I checked to see if voltage was coming so fuel pump, since I could never hear pump come on. Found there was no voltage, so I though fuel pump relay. I purchased fuel pump relay from local shop. He let me look in his shop manual to find location for relay, but shop manual kept the location secret, it would not tell me where it was.
Came home, searched all over the internet, and still no success, still can't find the relay.
Any idea where it might be located?

A failed fuel pump is much more likely.

There is no separate fuel pump relay. It is part of the Electronic Control Module, (ECM) relay. That relay has eight terminals on it.

Thx, your answer is different from all others I have asked, Some say it is on the right side, in the glove compartment area. Others say it is on the drivers side, bolted to the center console. You say it is in the ECM module, but you did not say where the ECM module is.
Why did they make this car so different, as for as where relays are located.
I am working on this car for a neighbor, and everytime I look at that thing trying to diagnose the problem, it reminds me never to purchase a Mitsubishi for my own ride

You misinterpreted my reply. I did the same thing too when I reread it. The fuel pump relay is not in the Engine Computer, (ECM). There is an ECM relay that sends 12 volts to the Engine Computer. There is a second, totally separate relay built into that assembly, and that one is for the fuel pump. It would make sense to call it the "ECM / Fuel Pump" relay, but they don't. It's just called the "ECM" relay.
