Engine shuts off after it has warmed up and will not restart

My car starts and runs great, but after it gets warmed up it shuts off and will not start back up until it cools down.

I have seen this happen when the engine coolant temperature sensor shorts out when hot, is the check engine light on? If so, this guide will help us get the codes:
