Hi,

If the engine coolant is full and the engine reaches operating temperature, it is either one of two possible issues. Start by looking through this link:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/car-heater-not-working

Here is what I need you to do. Start the engine. Turn the heater on high and allow the engine to reach operating temperature. Turn the engine off.

Open the hood and feel both heater hoses going to the heater core at the firewall. Are both hot? One will be slightly cooler because it is the return.

If only one side is hot and the other isn't, chances are the heater core is plugged. I attached a pic below showing the hoses to check.

If both hoses are hot, then we are likely dealing with a faulty blend air door actuator in the vehicle. If both are hot, that indicates the heat is present in the heater box under the dash, but something is preventing it from entering the cab.

Starting with picture 2 below, I attached the directions below for replacing the actuator. Before getting a new one, remove the old actuator, and with the connector still attached, see if it responds when you change the temperature request from the controller. Also, if you hear a clicking from under the dash, there is no need to check it. Simply replace it.

It isn't a difficult job. If you run into any trouble, let me know.

Also, let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
