For what reason did you disconnect the battery. Will not start do you mean will not crank over or what.

Double check your connection at the batt. then come back and be more specific of the problem

I disconnected the battery to put in a cold air intake system. I removed the battery from the car. Could it be because of a chip key? Has power just won't crank.

Put the key in On position use a remote starter hook it up-press it and see what happens. You probably disable the auto theft system
