My A/C was blowing cold air the way it did when I first got my car. So I went and bought one of those air conditioner recharge things and after doing so my A/C stopped blowing cold air only blows hot. Can you please tell me what the problem could be?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

I think you mean it was not blowing cold air like when you got it. If that is not correct, please let me know.

If the system is overcharged, it will not work properly. Take a look through this link. It discusses possible reasons why it is not working. Additionally, I have attached two other links which show the process of recharging the system. Check those to make sure you did it correctly and let me know if this helps. If it does not, we will have to continue diagnosing the problem.

The next link shows recharging using the type of set up sold at most parts stores.

The final link is vacuuming the system and recharging. Note that two gauges are used. One is on the AC low pressure side and the other on the AC high pressure side. If you have AC manifold gauges such as the ones in this link, please let me know what the pressures are and the outside temperature when you check.

I hope this is helpful. Again, let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
