Couple of off and on's then it's good.A Caradiodoc man has been working with me. My last resort he said can't rule it out is check the dowel on the cam shaft. It was good. Compression in #1 160 2, 3, 4 had 180. All back together and no spark? New crank sensor, cam sensor, ignition switch.

Hi,

This vehicle has an auto shut down system. The Automatic Shutdown (ASD) relay supplies battery voltage to the fuel injectors, electronic ignition coil and the heating elements in the oxygen sensors. Have you checked fuel for an injector pulse?

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-a-fuel-injector

The ASD relay is in the power distribution box under the hood. I would check to make sure it is working. Also, confirm the ignition run fuse is good. In addition to just checking the fuse, make sure there is power. I attached a pic of showing both the relay and the fuse and how they are located in the power distribution box.

Here are a few links you may find helpful:

Check this below and let me know what you find.

Hello Joe, I had did all that before, but not the injectors. So know I'm starting all over again from the beginning. This time checking from the ignition switch and all the wiring, checking voltage and resistance CKP sensor, cam sensor and the PCM. So this is quite the job, it is going to take some time. I'll keep in touch. Thank for all the information and links. You are a very nice person for taking the time to try to help me figure this out. Thanks lots, Lee

You are very welcome. I don't feel as though I helped. Please keep me in the loop and let me know if I can help in some way. Lee, have you checked the ignition switch itself?

Let me know.

I've been testing crank sensor with key on. It test 8.73 volts on the orange wire. When I test the same
wire for resistance ohms I get 08.9 at multi-meter on 200 the other two wires test at 0.00. How much resistance makes a wire no good? Checked all the fusses they are good. He ignition switch is new, the crank sensor new, cam sensor new. I am checking my injectors . Meter set on 20VDC I sure don't have 12 v not even close maybe 4 sum nothing at all. What do you think of that? Hmm. Thank you very much for your time I sure do appreciate It. Lee

Hi,

Resistance is based on wire length. You appear to be fine with that. You indicated you don't get 12v. Maybe 4 on some, nothing at all. Which wires are you referring to?

Oops, fuel injectors. I think I forgot to plug in the creak sensor. That is probably why the fuel injectors don't work and the car wont turn over.

Ha! No problem. Are you checking with the engine being cranked over? The injectors receive 12v at all time. However, the circuit isn't completed until the PCM provides a ground path to each one. You need to go back to the PCM to see if there is corrosion, damage to wiring, and so on to determine why there is no voltage.

I attached 3 pics. Make sure you are checking the correct wires for power. Also, the highlighted wires go to the PCM (Pic 3). Check those connections.

Let me know what you find.

Got me a lemon ha ha lol the color. Well put in the used new computer The car is yellow and no start even got a brand new coil. And nothing turns over good. You can hear the fuel pump turn on in the gas tank. The fuses are good. I checked the grounds on the injectors. They are grounded, I'm thinking it has got be a power wire not working, but where? Can't go anywhere because of the cron 19. Are you in lock down? I'm in Rochester, Minnesota Sunday the whole state will be Quarantine.

No locked down yet here in Pittsburgh. I suspect it may be coming.

Are there still no trouble codes? And I know you said it was all checked before, but the ASD relay still is getting my attention. Body grounds? Ugh! Got to love cars.

If you look at picture 3, check the ground I circled. Also, picture 1 shows a splice to the crank and cam sensors that could be an issue and picture 2 shows where the signal for the cam and crank sensors are located on the PCM.

Put the new used computer in and it worked great Except the key didn't match the PCM. So the car only would run 5 seconds and shut off. I new that the VIN of the car needs to be entered the PCM for it to run. I guess we tried one, to many times to start the car, Because the car was dead at the starter. OO Then for the heck of it I put in the old one and the car started right up I tried it two more times and it worked. The car ran. I think their is some thing in the computer that got reset because it was out of the car for a good day or so. I left it sit in the driveway I haven't took it for a ride yet. Going to do that later this week.

Hi,

I have a feeling that disconnecting and reconnecting the computer may have cleaned off corrosion or something causing a bad connection. Let me know how the ride goes for you. I hope that is all it was.
