Electrical problem
1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 160k miles

I have a 99 Eclipse GS non-turbo auto. It will stall @ idle or while driving. A/c on or off. It immediately restarts. The check engine light will flicker briefly but doesn't store any codes. It will stall when I am on the freeway at 70 mph. I have to shift it to neutral but it restarts right away. My mechanic has replaced the cam positioning sensor. I had it tuned up as well with a fuel injection service. Does the same thing. Also it jerks strongly and the engine seems too move when shifting from park to drive or reverse. I have changed out all of the mounts twice in the past 2 years and am still having this jerking problem. Please help I am lost on this.

Dirty fuel injectors (cleaning the injectors often fixes this).
Bad MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor
Bad TPS (throttle position) sensor
Bad or dirty MAF (mass airflow) sensor
Low fuel pressure (leaky fuel pressure regulator or weak fuel pump)
Vacuum leaks (intake manifold, vacuum hoses, throttle body, EGR valve)
Bad gasoline (fuel contaminated with water or too much alcohol)

Sometimes, what feels like a hesitation is actually ignition misfire rather than lean misfire. The causes of ignition misfire may include:

Dirty or worn spark plugs
Bad plug wires
Weak ignition coil
Wet plug wires
