I have the vehicle listed above z71 and it is backfiring while driving and stopped. Just recently replaced fuel pump and lines, CV axles, ball joints, and tie rods. I didn't drive it for a week or two and now it is backfiring.

Hi,

A backfire can be caused by a rich or lean fuel mixture. Have you checked the fuel pressure since the repair to confirm it is within the manufacturer's specs? If not, first do a visual inspection for vacuum hoses disconnected or damaged, and then check fuel pressure.

Here are three links you may find helpful. The first discusses the most common causes of a backfire. The next two are to help find a vacuum leak and check fuel pressure.

Also, make sure nothing electrical such as a mass air flow sensor was left disconnected and the air inlet tube between the air box and the throttle body is tight and fully in place.

Let me know.
