Have had this car 6 years and once in a blue moon it just wont start when cold. Everything else will work, fully charged battery. Once I had it towed to the ford dealer and when thay went to get it. It started right up and no cause was given as to why it would not start. Yesterday it would not start and I checked all the fuses and relays. Even called a tow truck. And you guessed it. It started. Since this car has no distributor where is the ignition modual.I went to a mechanic and he told me that this car may have a short or the ignition control modual was bad.

Will it crank? Or not crank?

When it wont start check for spark on all cylinders. And check the fuel pressure.

Lets not guess and check till we can atleast narrow it down!

We had the car towed again yesterday and when the car got there it. Started right up. Have checked forall problems including spark and its there. Good fuel pressure. But wont start. When cold. And damp.I think the car has a thermal break problem with one of the sensors. Mass air flow or the magnetic timing pick up. Or it just likes a ride on the tow truck once in a while. No problem codes. Cranks fine. Has mind of its own. Thanks all

Easy (fuel or ignition?) Check - when it crank/no starts pop a hose off somewhere the engine sucks air in and spray a two second blast of ether (starting fluid).

You can try that when having someone crank it then spray in the fluid.
