2003 Kia Sorento 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 77,000 miles
I have a 2003 Kia Sorento. I've haven't even had it a year yet. But my dash board lights went out the first time in Feb. but came back on about 2 weeks later. Early April they went out again and have stayed off since. Everything works except the lights for the speedometer and gas gauge. Which prevents me from driving at night. 2 months ago I bought a cheap cell car charger and it worked for about a week then stopped in one outlet so I tried another and it made all my outlets stop working! I've heard Kia's have a lot of electrical problems, is just a short or something more serious?

They have some problems, but not more than others. Make sure the plugs under the dash are tight where they attach to the panel. Also, check the fuses for the power outlets.
