Replaced timing belt and head, car cranks but

Engine Mechanical problem
2003 Kia Rio 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive 80000 miles

Replacing the head with a rebuilt. Planning to replace Pistons, rings, main bearings, rod bearings, oil pump, timing belt and tensioner.

Should I worry about the rods?

If timing belt broke during operation then the valves and pistons are about the only things that will be damaged. The rods would not get bent from a broken timing belt.

Thanks for the reply

Pistons were removed by teen age son and he did not keep track of which cylinder they came out of. The pistons have a front and back and two rods appear to be one direction and the other two reversed. Any ideas as to which cylinder should have which arrangement? The rods seem identical any harm if they go back in a different cylinder?

The pistons have size marks on them that match up with their respective cylinder, the cylinders also have size marks on them. just match them up and you're good to go..
