Engine shut off everything else is good?

Driving home from work engine shut off everything else is good battery starter fuel pump just cranks like no spark or fuel online research points to common problem with jeeps crankshaft position sensor changed with new one now try's to start and coughs and chugs but still wont start with key on have bus on odom turn lights on bus and clock goes out?

Just to confirm you have a crank no start and the words no bus in the cluster?

If this is the case, we need to start with checking for codes.

If we have codes, then we can go in that direction but if we do not then we need to watch the RPM when you are cranking the engine.

This points to a crank sensor issue.

I would suggest running through checking the fuel pressure and finding out what this is.

However, this may be a PCM as this module commonly causes the no bus message in the cluster.

So, add that to the no start concern and suddenly shutting off plus the new crank sensor, it points to the PCM not firing the plugs.

Please see the info below on how to change the PCM as this is what I would suggest doing next.
