When I start it it stalls after a little while sometimes it starts back up sometimes it wont it will just crank over but not starting. I am at my ends with this jeep. Sometimes it will run fine one dayand then it will stall on the highway the next. Any sugestions.

Did you check the fuel pressure after you've installed the fuel pump. If it has an auto shut down relay inspect and test it.

When you 1st turn key to On -do you hear the fuel pump for a few secs?

Yes I took it back to the repair shop after I put a new feul pump in and they said it had good pressure now. Yes I can hear the pump running when trun the key to the on postion. Can it be the tranny going bad causing it to stall.

What was the fuel pressure reading and does it has an injection pulses in order for the cylinders to receive fuel.

The engine will fire-up by itself and continue to run without a transmission
